“ Have been in this plaza numerous times but finally made the effort to stop it for dinner. Wasn't too busy, but the staff was very friendly and attentive. My margarita was great and strong as well. The jalapeño poppers were very cheesy and had a good kick. Both entrees were flavorful and filling. Prices were reasonable and the restaurant was well decorated. Looking forward to coming back! ”
“ Always a friendly welcoming environment, I love eating in or ordering take out. I always get nachos and creamy potatoes which taste amazing! They have so many fun drinks. The salsa is delicious, I'm always excited for it. Also you get so much food for such a reasonable price. Nachos, tacos, 2 creamy potatoes, chips and salsa, and plantains for $45 and the servings are bigger than you expect. Definitely recommend. ”
“ We went for lunch on a Saturday. The waiter was really good and explained the choices really well. We ended up getting a couple of Enchiladas, House special margarita and beers. It was a great combination. It is a big place inside and staff were a pleasure to deal with. ”
“ Fun place and you wouldn't know it from the exterior cause it's in a strip mall. But the food was super fresh and the salsa was divine! Definitely worth a visit ”
“ When the chicken didn't thaw out in time we decided to go local and close. I've heard a few people talk about El Coyote so we decided to try it. We were not disappointed. Clean, open and spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food had so much flavor and large portions. There was a few things I would love to go back and try from the desert menu. With the chips they give you and the portion sizes we were stuffed. Stayed in the dining room, but the bar had lots of options that were visible. I liked the collages on the wall that were have painted. El Coyote is definitely worth a try. ”
“ Wow, this place has been hiding right under my nose. We've frequented the small La Tienda market next door, Yokohama, and Doc's Urgent Care in the same complex for years -- but somehow missed this little gem. There used to be an awful Tex Mex place in the same space, which was so bad, I guess we developed an aversion to that physical location! I'm glad to've stumbled across this place even if we are a bit late to the game. El Coyote serves up some pretty darn good Mexican / Latin American food for the New Milford to Danbury area, though some elements are a bit gringo. We really enjoyed the arroz con pollo, though it was made with white meat chicken instead of the chicken thigh meat your tia probably uses for the dish. The fresh tomatoes and cilantro added such lovely, nuanced flavor. The kids adored their nicely filled beef empanadas. Enchiladas mole and adobe were not spicy, and not-very-nuanced, a touch too sweet -- both probably from a can or jar rather than house-made. But we haven't found better in the area, so who are we to complain? Shredded chicken and (admittedly gringo) ground beef fillings are well-made versions of the standard-issue stuff (i.e. the meat was tender, moist and properly cooked and seasoned). Complimentary fresh salsa was excellent -- far better than it had to be. Tostones came with garlic oil, also nicely made and much better than standard issue. A side of creamy potatoes came in a white sauce that for whatever reason I associate with German kohlrabi, nach Hausfrauenart. These were quite delicious after a small additional sprinkling of salt for my sodium-loving family. Overall, this meal was so very enjoyable for our socially-isolated (read: sick of Mom's cooking) crew. Thanks for making us this nourishing, good food for takeout, El Coyote. You make our pandemic experience that much better. ”
